
China (Guangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Fair
The 2024 China (Guangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Cross-border Fair") successfully concluded at the China Import and Export Fair Complex on August 18. This exhibition, themed "New Driving Forces for Foreign Trade · Digital New Future", features four major exhibition areas: the Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone Exhibition Area, the Cross-border E-commerce Platform and Service Provider Exhibition Area, the Cross-border E-commerce Warehousing and Logistics Exhibition Area, and the Cross-border E-commerce Supply Chain Exhibition Area. Over 1,000 cross-border e-commerce supply chain enterprises from more than 20 provinces and cities and nearly 40 domestic and foreign cross-border e-commerce platforms are participating in the exhibition. More than 30 industry forums and online live streaming events were held concurrently. More than 56,000 visitors attended the event, a 123% increase compared to the previous session. This is the first cross-border Trade Fair since its establishment, featuring a large number of exhibition platforms, practical innovative measures, a high quality of visitors, and good satisfaction among both exhibitors and visitors. This cross-border Trade Fair has received meticulous guidance and strong support from the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and the People's Government of Guangzhou City. During the exhibition, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province held the China (Guangdong) - RCEP Member Countries Cross-border E-commerce Exchange Conference, released the "RCEP Country Guidelines for Cross-border E-commerce (Going Global)", and presented innovative cases of cross-border e-commerce empowering industrial development. The cross-border e-commerce industry association and enterprise representatives jointly released five initiatives to promote the development of cross-border e-commerce.

Nearly 40 cross-border e-commerce platforms, including Amazon Global Selling, SHEIN, TikTok, Alibaba International Station, AliExpress, Walmart, eBay, shopee, DHgate, lazada, Tmall and Taobao Overseas, Made-in-China.com, and Google, participated in the exhibition and released updates on their new platforms.

The emerging platform zone and the cross-border e-commerce logistics and warehousing zone have drawn attention. This year's Cross-border Trade Fair has for the first time set up a special zone for emerging platforms and a special zone for cross-border e-commerce logistics and warehousing. At the opening ceremony, they were specially recommended by the leaders of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and received widespread attention. The Emerging Platforms Zone features 23 emerging platforms from regions such as Africa, Europe, South America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia, East Asia, and Russia. The cross-border e-commerce logistics and warehousing zone features over 20 cross-border e-commerce supply chain logistics and warehousing operators on display.
