On the morning of August 6, the 2nd Roadshow and Media Exchange Meeting of the 2024 China (Guangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Fair (hereinafter referred to as "Cross-border E-commerce Fair") was held in Shanghai. Leaders and guests from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, China Foreign Trade Center, Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Zhongshan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Amazon Global Store, Guangdong Provincial E-commerce Association, Hibi E-commerce and other units attended the event.
This year's Cross-Border Trade Fair will be held in Area A of the Canton Fair Complex from August 16 to 18, with the following six highlights:
1. Governments and industry organizations at all levels attach great importance to it, and gather policies and industry resources to promote the expansion and strengthening of the Cross-Border Trade Fair.
The total exhibition area exceeds 40,000 square meters, and more than 1,000 supply chain companies and comprehensive pilot zones from more than 20 provinces and cities participate in the exhibition.
2. The top platforms gather together. It is the exhibition with the largest number of participating platforms, concentrated top platforms and large investment in the current domestic similar exhibitions.
Nearly 40 cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Amazon Global Store, Xiyin, Douyin TikTok, Alibaba International Station, AliExpress, Walmart, eBay, Shopee, Dunhuang.com, Lazada, Tmall Taobao Overseas, Made-in-China.com, and Google participated in the exhibition. Amazon Global Store will set up an Amazon SPN service provider network area at the exhibition.
3. The first emerging platform zone was set up to help Chinese sellers explore overseas emerging markets.
26 emerging platforms from Africa, Europe, South America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia, East Asia, Russia and other regions participated in the exhibition, providing a one-stop connection between Chinese sellers and emerging potential platforms, better serving the needs of Chinese sellers to "expand the blue ocean and reduce risks", and providing new development opportunities for Made in China.
4. The first cross-border e-commerce supply chain logistics and warehousing zone was set up.
More than 20 cross-border e-commerce supply chain logistics and warehousing operators, including Yida Cloud Technology, Aima Logistics Technology, 4PX, Aimler Overseas Warehousing, Guangdong Gaojie Shipping Logistics, Guangzhou Tuowei Tianhai International Logistics, Shenzhen Xiyou Zhicang Technology, Damaicang (Shenzhen) International Warehousing Logistics, Shenzhen Postman Xiaoma Supply Chain, Guangdong Airport Group, Dongguan Baohan International Logistics, Guangdong Dongyuan Cross-border Supply Chain, etc., participated in the exhibition to promote the more accurate integration and development of cross-border e-commerce and its supporting infrastructure, and drive more companies to "go overseas".
V. Work together to create a high-quality forum.
During the exhibition, more than 30 policy promotion activities and industry summit forums will be held to promote the exhibition and the exhibition will be promoted by the high-quality forum to further enhance the influence of the exhibition and the benefits of participating in and visiting the exhibition. Amazon Global Store will release the "2024 Amazon Global Store China Export Cross-border E-commerce Development Trend White Paper" during the exhibition, and invite industry experts such as Professor Li Mingtao, traditional foreign trade transformation sellers and SPN service providers to participate in the Amazon Global Store Cross-border E-commerce Industry Belt Development Forum to share new policy trends and high-quality overseas transformation business operation experience.
6. E-commerce + investment promotion to ensure the effect of participating in and visiting the exhibition.
This Cross-border Trade Fair will summarize the successful experience of the previous two exhibitions in attracting investment and publicity, give full play to the brand and buyer resource advantages of the Canton Fair and the Foreign Trade Center Group, further enrich the investment promotion model, further strengthen the linkage and mutual promotion with major cross-border e-commerce platforms and Internet celebrities, further increase cooperation with industries and professional associations, and invite more cross-border e-commerce sellers, cross-border e-commerce and logistics platforms, import and export trade supply chain platforms, overseas importers, overseas purchasing representatives in China, overseas buyers, etc. to visit and purchase, realize accurate invitation of buyers, and improve the effect of participating in the exhibition.
During this cross-border trade fair, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce will hold the 2nd China (Guangdong) RCEP Cross-border E-commerce Exchange Conference, launch Guangdong's "Cross-border E-commerce Empowering Industrial Development" series of activities, and release "Cross-border E-commerce Empowering Industrial Development" innovative cases.
Nearly 20 news media and more than 30 industry representatives from Xinhuanet, China News Network, Huanqiu.com, China.com, The Paper, Eastday.com, Shanghai Hotline, Sohu.com, NetEase News, Sina Home, Manager Media and Guangzhou Daily attended the press conference.
