Guangdong: +10.7%
As a major foreign trade province in my country, Guangdong has been firmly in the throne of exports in the past two years. In the first five months of 2024, exports were 2.33 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%.
Guangdong's exports of mechanical and electrical products increased by 8.6%, accounting for 64.6% of Guangdong's total exports. Among them, automatic data processing equipment and its parts, household appliances, and integrated circuits were exported for 152.62 billion yuan, 139.93 billion yuan, and 107.28 billion yuan, respectively.
In addition, steel exports amounted to 72.84 billion yuan, a six-fold increase, accounting for 3.1%.

Zhejiang: +7.4%
From January to May this year, Zhejiang's total exports were 1.55 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.4%.
Among the export products, mechanical and electrical products accounted for 46.1% of the total export value of the province, with a value of 712.65 billion yuan, an increase of 8.3%; labor-intensive products accounted for 27.9% of the total export value of similar products in the country, with a value of 472.08 billion yuan, an increase of 10.9%; ship and container exports were 8.92 billion yuan and 5.16 billion yuan, an increase of 95.5% and 2.0 times respectively.
Zhejiang Province exported 779.69 billion yuan to the countries participating in the construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative", an increase of 7.9%, accounting for 50.5% of the total export value of the province.

Jiangsu: +7.5%
By the end of May, Jiangsu's exports were 1.42 trillion yuan, up 7.5%.
Among the export products, mechanical and electrical products played a significant role in driving exports, with exports of 971.5 billion yuan, up 9.3%, and the proportion increased to 68.4%. In addition, Jiangsu Province exported 202.23 billion yuan of labor-intensive products and 38.99 billion yuan of basic organic chemicals, up 11.3% and 1.9% respectively.
In the first five months, Jiangsu's imports and exports to ASEAN amounted to 347.38 billion yuan, up 10.6%. Imports and exports to South Korea amounted to 223.22 billion yuan.

Shandong: +11.6%
Shandong exported 805.12 billion yuan in the first five months, an increase of 11.6%.
In terms of export products, the export of mechanical and electrical, labor and agricultural products maintained a relatively fast growth rate. The export of mechanical and electrical products was 371.57 billion yuan, an increase of 9.6%, accounting for 46.2% of the total export value; the export of labor-intensive products was 148.07 billion yuan, an increase of 20.2%; the export of agricultural products was 63.56 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5%.
In terms of trade entities, private enterprises' imports and exports were 996.13 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2%.

Shanghai: +1%
In the first five months, Shanghai's exports were 706.214 billion yuan, an increase of 1.0%.

Fujian: +9.7%
Fujian exports were 502.38 billion yuan, up 9.7%.
Fujian's exports of mechanical and electrical products were 216.52 billion yuan, up 10.3%, accounting for 43.1% of Fujian's total foreign trade exports during the same period. During the same period, labor-intensive product exports were 145.27 billion yuan, up 10.2%, accounting for 28.9%.
Fujian Province exported 44.6 billion yuan of mechanical and electrical products to ASEAN, an increase of 26.3%; exported 40.05 billion yuan of labor-intensive products, an increase of 31.1%. Among them, household appliances performed relatively actively, with exports of 2.11 billion yuan, a sharp increase of 240.7%.

Beijing: +1.3%
In the first five months, Beijing exported 244.98 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%.
The export of integrated circuits maintained a high growth rate. The export in Beijing has accelerated significantly since March, maintaining double-digit growth for three consecutive months, increasing by 11.4%, 15.2% and 19.5% respectively.
Beijing's main export commodities are mobile phones, integrated circuits and auto parts, with exports of 32.98 billion yuan, 9.76 billion yuan and 7.73 billion yuan respectively; mobile phones exported to Ecuador amounted to 31.513 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 46.8 times; commercial vehicles exported amounted to 17.167 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 52.6%.

Sichuan: -1.6%
Sichuan's exports were 242.38 billion yuan, down 1.6%.
In the first five months, Sichuan's electronic information industry maintained its advantages, with tablet computer exports of 28.47 billion yuan, ranking first in the country; laptop computers, LCD TVs, and projectors exported 33.49 billion, 1.85 billion, and 290 million yuan respectively; lithium battery industry-related materials exported 4.15 billion yuan, and the export scale of some products led the country.
At the same time, the equipment manufacturing industry also further expanded overseas markets, with oil drilling rigs exported for 990 million yuan.

Anhui: +8.5%
Anhui is the central region's export, with exports of 218.51 billion yuan in the first five months, an increase of 8.5%.
In terms of export products, Anhui's mechanical and electrical products exported 153.75 billion yuan, an increase of 11.6%, accounting for 70.4% of the province's total export value. Among them, automobile exports contributed significantly, with a total export of 31.16 billion yuan, an increase of 28.1%. The export of labor-intensive products was 23.65 billion yuan, an increase of 1.1%, accounting for 10.8%.
At the same time, Anhui's imports and exports to the countries participating in the construction of the "Belt and Road" were 161.52 billion yuan, an increase of 3.1%, accounting for 50.1% of the total import and export value; imports and exports to other RCEP member countries were 77.48 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4%, accounting for 24%.

Chongqing: +2.8%
Chongqing entered the top ten this time, with exports of 192.58 billion yuan. An increase of 2.8%.
In May, Chongqing exported 42.25 billion yuan, an increase of 11%.
Chongqing exported 19.634 million laptops, an increase of 7.6%. During the same period, integrated circuit exports were 9.66 billion yuan, an increase of 52.6%; automobile exports were 40,000, an increase of 24.2%. At the same time, textile and clothing exports, including masks and protective clothing, were 2.47 billion yuan, an increase of 62%.
It is worth noting that from January to May, Xinjiang, Guangxi, Hainan, Shanxi, and Heilongjiang became export dark horses, with year-on-year growth rates of 55.4%, 26.9%, 27.9%, 26.3%, and 27.4%, respectively.
Since the first quarter, the "foreign trade province" in central China has changed hands, and Anhui has surpassed Henan. In May, Henan's exports were surpassed by Hubei again, and its exports from January to May decreased by 22.6% year-on-year. The main reason is that due to factors such as capacity transfer and market downturn, the import and export scale of Foxconn, which is the core support of Henan and Zhengzhou's foreign trade, has been greatly reduced.
Also experiencing a sharp drop in exports were Hunan Province (-32.1%) and Jiangxi Province (-41.9%) in the central region.
