2. Exhibition Introduction

The Vietnam International Building Materials Decoration and Home Exhibition (VIETBUILD) was first held in 1997 and has developed into a famous exhibition covering real estate, building materials, home decoration, home furnishing, home appliances, hardware, and related product technology and equipment industries. It is regularly held in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City, and Can Tho City in Vietnam for 10 sessions every year, with a total scale of nearly 17,000 booths, attracting exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions and a total of about 450,000 visitors. It has a wide and good reputation in the field of building materials and home decoration in Vietnam. VIETBUILD has always been a promotion platform for companies in the fields of building materials and home furnishing in various countries around the world to expand the Vietnamese market, and has been recognized by Chinese building materials and home furnishing companies for many years.

III. Market Background

Vietnam - an emerging country with huge potential in the construction industry in Southeast Asia

According to data from the Vietnam Statistics Bureau, in the first eight months of 2022, Vietnam's total import and export of goods reached US$497.64 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%. China continues to be Vietnam's largest import market, with Vietnam's imports from China reaching US$82.1 billion from January to August. Standard Chartered Bank predicts that Vietnam's GDP growth will exceed 7% in 2022. From January to August 2022, Vietnam attracted US$16.8 billion in foreign investment (FDI), with capital from 94 countries and regions investing in Vietnam, and US$12.8 billion in foreign investment projects, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%. As of August 2022, Vietnam has more than 35,500 valid foreign investment projects, with a total investment of more than US$430 billion.

Investment and rapid economic development have expanded the hot demand for Vietnam's construction and building materials market. The value of Vietnam's construction market in 2021 is about US$60 billion, and the growth rate is expected to exceed 8.71% from 2022 to 2027. At present, the development of various types of houses in Vietnam is asymmetric, and there is a huge demand for social security housing in cities and industrial areas. In terms of infrastructure, it is planned to invest between US$43 billion and US$65 billion in new transportation infrastructure from 2021 to 2030. This includes the construction of nearly 5,000 kilometers of expressways, 29,795 kilometers in total, and 172 national highways with a total length of 3,034 kilometers of coastal highways connecting 28 provinces and cities.

VII. Registration Method

Exhibitors shall fill in the application form (Appendix 1), stamp it and scan it to the exhibition organizer. Exhibitors shall pay a deposit of RMB 20,000 per 9 square meters standard booth to the organizer within the notification period to ensure the booth is confirmed.
