2. Exhibition Overview

Indowater&Indowaste is the largest global water purification and sewage treatment in Indonesia. At the same time, there is a solid waste/security expo in the same hall, which will be exhibited in Jakarta and Surabaya respectively. The 2021 Jakarta Tour Exhibition was successfully held for the 18th time. A total of 476 companies from 32 countries participated in the exhibition, including nearly 100 Chinese companies and 6,963 professional visitors. The exhibition was strongly supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Public Construction, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Trade, Indonesian Water Industry Association and Indonesian Exhibition Association. It is also the largest water treatment and solid waste exhibition in Indonesia. At that time, internationally renowned exhibitors from various countries will gather with more than 10,000 professional visiting groups and industry buyers to discuss water and sewage treatment and waste treatment technologies. It has changed from a biennial exhibition to an annual exhibition in Jakarta and Surabaya.

Market background: Indonesia is located in the tropical rainforest climate zone. Although the total amount of water resources ranks fifth in the world, due to the large number of islands, the country lacks water resources planning and reasonable allocation between regions, and the water supply infrastructure and wastewater and waste supporting systems are backward, facing serious pressure on the supply of clean drinking water and ecological damage. In the Indonesian government's mid-term construction plan from 2015 to 2019, the work is to strengthen the construction of large-scale infrastructure projects in 12 areas. These include the construction of 49 new large dams (reservoirs), 33 hydropower stations, and irrigation systems for about 1 million hectares of farmland; the construction of sewage treatment systems in 227 cities and counties, and the provision of sewage treatment services for 430 cities and counties; the construction of clean water supply systems in towns, benefiting 21.4 million households. Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia, a member of ASEAN and the G20 group, and will become a BRICS country. Indonesia has a population of 230 million and more than 20 million overseas Chinese. In 2017, Indonesia's GDP exceeded the trillion US dollar mark, ranking first in Southeast Asia. China is one of Indonesia's important importers. Indonesia's imports from China account for 10.9% of its total imports, and are increasing year by year. In 2010, China and ASEAN opened up the free trade area. Both sides have a population of 1.9 billion and a GDP of 6 trillion US dollars. Chinese companies enjoy zero tariffs when entering ASEAN, and Indonesia, as a large member of ASEAN, is a good choice for Chinese companies to explore the ASEAN market. In 2011, the bilateral trade volume between China and ASEAN reached 362.85 billion US dollars, an increase of 23.9%.

VI. Registration Method

Exhibitors shall fill in the application form (Appendix 1), stamp it and scan it to the exhibition organizer. Exhibitors shall pay a deposit of RMB 20,000 per 9 square meters standard booth to the organizer within the notification period to ensure the booth is confirmed.
